About Barbara Rose
About Barbara Rose
Barbara Rose studied Fine Arts at New York Institute of Technology later working as an artist commissioned to paint custom kiln-fired tile murals. Furthering her education and following her forever-growing passion for home decor, she received her Interior Design Degree in 2001. In 2003, after first working for a local design firm, Barbara Rose started her design firm, Barbara Rose Designs. Reflecting on her 20 years in the design field, She realized that she approaches each room as she would an art project, applying the same fundamental principles of balance, unity, rhythm, proportion, and emphasis, to create warm and welcoming interiors.
Currently, Barbara Rose works on residential interior design projects ranging from whole-house renovations to single-room redecorating projects. As a professional member of IDS (Interior Design Society) she keeps current with design trends and products through excessive professional development classes, training by company reps, and attending trade shows. Barbara Rose is currently on the board of both the Long Island and Virtual Chapters of IDS.
